"I value the tangible and metaphysical alliance between people, space, and creative processes."

Kelsie is a multi-disciplinary artist with a range of creative outputs- mural making, scenic design, graphic design, relief printing, found object sculpture, stained glass, mosaics, and body painting. Her work is inspired by a spectrum of differentiating elements within life; erection & destruction, organic & constructed, bound & limitless.  She builds a relationship between the opposing forces through the use of bold colors, lines, and movement with complimentary emotional energy.

Kelsie received her BFA at West Virginia University with an emphasis in Printmaking, Sculpture, and Anthropology in her home state of WV. She holds a certificate in Creative Placemaking Leadership from New England College of Art and Design. As the co-owner  ifacepaint,  she connects local artists with community partners to deliver body and face painting at events across Greater Philadelphia. Kelsie has 10 years of experience in teaching, creating, and non-profit development. She has a passion for cultivating inclusively driven spaces, events, and programming centered around creative expression and advocacy and is currently the Executive Director of NLArts in Philadelphia.

Kelsie's husband is a songwriter and musician. They live with their dog Pretty Girl  in North Philadelphia. When not in the studio, office, or community event, she enjoys renovating her home, visiting art galleries, watching theater performances, and dancing.
